2025 - Best Innovation of Dundalk Green Dream St. Patrick's Day Float
A Great Day to Be Irish – Dundalk Tidy Towns Wins Best Innovation!
17th March 2025 – What a great day to be Irish.
The day was nice, the crowds were out, and Dundalk Tidy Towns took to the streets for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. And what a day it turned out to be.
Our float was a true community effort. We were delighted to have Paula Gribben and her team from Louth County Council join us – helping with the float and marching alongside our volunteers. Their support meant the world to us. A huge thank you also to Patrick Byrne from Elite Form Manufacturing for the generous loan of his truck – without it, our float wouldn't have been possible. And to Brian McEneaney for being a brilliant driver, steering us safely through the streets of Dundalk. Our wonderful costume wearers brought the float to life, spreading smiles and waving to families lining the route. From children to grandparents, the crowd's energy was unforgettable.
Judges recognised our creative approach, our message of community pride, and the way we brought environmental awareness into a celebration of Irishness. It was a proud moment for every volunteer who helped build, decorate, and walk alongside that float.
