National Tree Week (2019 -2020)
News & Activities
1st April 2019 – Planting for Our Planet
On 1st April 2019, National Tree Week got off to a fantastic start thanks to a very generous donation. Steven Clarke kindly gifted 75 trees to Dundalk Tidy Towns – and we wasted no time getting them into the ground.
Throughout that week, volunteers worked hard to plant those 75 trees all across town – in parks, along roadsides, in green spaces, and in areas that badly needed a touch of greenery.

15th February 2020 - Healthy Trees, Healthy Planet
National Tree Week took place on 15th February 2020, and what a morning it was!
Thanks to Carlingford Sky Park for hosting and organizing the tree collection so efficiently – it was a brilliant start to the day. A huge thank you also to Imogen from "Trees from the Land" for all her hard work in source and getting our trees to us. Without her efforts, none of this would have been possible.
The weather may not have been kind, but that didn't stop Vera and the staff of PayPal who battled the wind and rain to get our trees planted around the Redeemer Boy's and Girl's schools. Fantastic work by the whole team – showing that a bit of bad weather won't stop dedicated volunteers from getting the job done.
