National Tree Week 2025
– Planting Trees, Growing Together
The 2025 theme "Planting Trees, Growing Together" couldn't have been more fitting. Whether planting new saplings at Navvy Bank or caring for century-old trees at Longwalk, every volunteer played a part.
We grow as a community when we grow our trees. And in Dundalk, that's exactly what we're doing.
6th April 2025 – Back to Navvy Bank
We returned to Navvy Bank for more tree planting, continuing our work at this special location. But planting was just one part of the morning.
Our volunteers also got stuck into:

Weeding around the newly planted trees

Litter picking across the area
-
Removal of graffiti from surfaces near the trees
A full morning's work that left Navvy Bank cleaner, greener, and more beautiful.
12th July 2025 – Back to Longwalk
We returned to Longwalk to visit our historical trees once again – those wonderful mature trees that have stood in Dundalk for generations.
Our team carried out essential care work for these trees, ensuring they remain healthy and magnificent for years to come and also planted some new flowers.
