How Dundalk Tidy Towns Gets Involved

Dundalk Tidy Towns has been a proud participant in National Spring Clean for many years. During the month of April, we:

​

• Organise community litter picks in key areas across the town

• Provide bags, gloves, and litter pickers to volunteers (where available – please note that due to huge national demand, gloves and hi-vis vests may run out)

• Encourage resident associations and schools to register their own clean-ups

• Focus on litter blackspots, including the Navvy Bank, the Ramparts, and local estates

 

We also use the campaign as an opportunity to promote our Adopt a Patch programme – because a spring clean is a great start, but year-round care is even better.

Why Spring is the Perfect Time for a Clean-Up

Spring is a season of renewal. After the dark, wet months of winter, the longer days and warmer weather draw people back outside. Here's why spring cleaning matters:

How You Can Take Part with Dundalk Tidy Towns

We will be hosting several community litter picks across Dundalk during April. Locations will be announced prior to the event 👉 Contact us to find out dates and meeting points for our upcoming clean-ups.

What we provide (where available):

• Litter picker, Refuse sacks, Gloves and Hi-vis vests (subject to national supply)

What you need to bring:

• Sturdy footwear, Appropriate clothing for the weather and A bottle of water
