Victorian Dundalk

Back in 2016, Dundalk Tidy Towns installed 20 interpretive panels around our town. Each panel told a story – with photographs of how things used to be and information about the history of that very spot. But over time, weather and wear took their toll. The signs became faded, damaged, and difficult to read. In April 2024, we set out to change that. Thanks to the generous support of Dundalk Credit Union Ltd and County Museum Dundalk, we successfully refreshed the heritage signs across Dundalk. The refreshed signs now include a clean, readable designs, historical photographs and information. The sign also have QR codes – scan with your phone to access even more historical content on our website
